Singapore

June 17, 2019

After a week in Indonesia  we went back to Singapore, a beautiful city state. Its is so clean and organized a bit too sterile IMHO.The culture is mostly Malay, Indian and chinese.  We stayed at the Marina bay Sands which was a treat as it is walking distance to the biggest  tourist attraction,Gardens by the bay. I got a chance to see  the Singapore history museum, which was great, the science museum was a lot underwhelming especially  for $34/ticket. There is a lot of shopping on orchid road and high end designers at the Shoppes

A visit to the hawker center (open air food market) is an absolute must while in Singapore. I also visited the buggy center and little india. All these places is cash only for the food vendors so be sure to have some. Our friend also took us to a tour of Sentosa island, upper scale neighbourhood there is a beautiful beach club that is open to public.

Singapore is a very safe place, and the people are very honest. I had an emergency visit to the doctor, saw the  doctor and got my medication in one hour  all for 40 singaporean dollars.
