So today we had a beautiful sunny spring day in New York City!! And you know you can count on New Yorkers to come out and play.

After taking a nice stroll along the Highline park we then took the subway to downtown NYC  in the Financial district and walked along the Brooklyn Bridge to a beautiful park by the East river just below the Brooklyn bridge in DUMBO. Really enjoyed this sunny day curling up with my book by the park.

The only LEMON  I encountered was when trying to get the ferry back to Manhattan and thinking the ferry might be 10-20 min tops! So no need to plan ahead when to leave. NO not quite. They are actually over an hour apart on a weekend so plan ahead. The schedule is posted at the entrance to the ferry and if you can’t make it, the subway station is just an 8-minute walk away.

Overall it was a beautiful spring Sunday under the bridge, nice views of NYC skyline, Brooklyn bridge, Manhattan bridge and the East river. I definitely recommend  to anyone visiting NYC  to take a stroll there or even some of my fellow islanders :)) just go across the river soo worth the trip!!
