Long ass winter in Montreal, so my girls and I opted for a long weekend in the Bahamas. We planned the trip last minute hence all the adults only hotels were booked up. We stayed at the Atlantis, cute place nice beaches but way to many kids. Their sister resort The Cove is adults only and much more modern and some amenities are shared, so that’s cool.

If you are ever in Nassau and want adult only  resort SLS Baha Mar is a way to go. So many cool restaurants CLEO, nice bars and lounges and cool pool parties. Nearby resorts Melia and Four Seasons are cool as well.

There are also some day trips to a nearby Exuma island, another beautiful destination, nice beaches but way too overpriced trip for what it is. But if  ” swimming with the pigs” and feeding iguanas is your thing then go for it and expect to spend 500 USD for a day trip on speed boat to Exuma. It was a hard pass for us.

Another tourist destination on the island is a place called  Fish fry. Short strip of small restaurants and bars, live music where you can go for local Bahamian cuisine, such as Conch salad. Nice place but could do without and just enjoy the torquoise blue waters,
